This tool will help Apta Software determine the source and possible cause for the following symptoms:
Disconnects from the AptaFund server,
Slow screen redraws / printing,
Overall poor performance.
Many times this is related to network issues between your computer and the AptaFund Servers that are difficult to trace. This tool will aid in that process of determining possible network problems.
Instructions:
1) Download the tool and save to your computer.
2) Rename the file from 'aptaconn.TXT' to 'aptaconn.bat'.
3) Execute (open) the file from the saved location. The tool will immediatly start performing tests.*
4) This tool is set to loop, thus it will run indefinitely until canceled by the user. It's better to allow the tool to run for a few hours or over the course of the day gathering data. (This tool can be run in the background or minimized while you do other work.)
5) To stop the application, maximize the Command Window in which the tool is running, then Press CTRL-C on your keyboard. It will ask for confirmation to cancel the script, press 'Y' then ENTER to stop the tool.
6) Now you should have a .log file on the root drive of you computer, (Usually the C:\ Drive) called "aptanet.log" Attach this file to an email and send to: support@aptasoft.com
